The "Godfather of Fitness" at age 91
Earlier this week, Jack Lalanne, a pioneer in all things fitness, died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia Sunday afternoon at his home. He was survived by his wife Elaine of 51 years, daughter Yvonne and sons Danny and Jon. Lalanne gained worldwide recognition for his success as a chiropractor and bodybuilder, and for his incredible and prodigious acts of strength and endurance; such as in 1956 at age 42 he set a world record of 1,033 push ups in 23 minutes.  If you want to reminisce on more of his accomplishments, check out his website here.

Looking at his accomplishments, any attempt to create a worthy workout in his name would either 1) take us most of the day too complete, or 2) not live up to his name....yet, though we are all trying to attain the same fitness he did.  Now that isn't to say we're going to take it easy today:

Warm Up: Compound Warm Up as a group

SWOD: Handstand Walk Practice 10-15 min.

Metcon: “Rankel”
20 min:
-6 Deadlifts (225/155)
-7 Burpee Pull Ups
-10 KB Swings (heaviest)
-200 m Run
