What is Barbell For Boobs?

Every year in October, we host Barbells for Boobs. Their mission is stated as following:


Barbells for Boobs is a non-profit organization that provides funding to pay for breast cancer detection services as a last resort for thousands of people who don't qualify for assistance elsewhere.

Our aim is to help anyone that needs it, anywhere, whether they are male or female, no matter what their age or situation in life."

Want to help?

This year the Compound will be hosting the Barbells for Boobs "Amazing Grace” fundraiser this Saturday, October 19 beginning at 8:30 am. The event helps raise money to provide funding for qualified women who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer. By supporting Barbells for Boobs, we help low-income and uninsured women get the examinations they need in order to stay cancer free!

In an effort to make our event a success and raise as much money as possible, we are asking for your support. Please help us spread the word by telling everyone you know, Compound members or not, about the "Amazing Grace” Event. Everyone can donate if they want to participate or not!

The workout will be "Grace" or 30 Clean and Jerks for time at 135 and 95 #'s. The weight can be scaled to accommodate anyone, so please bring a friend to participate of just cheer you on. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We thank you for your support!!

You can go to the home of The Compound-CrossFit Vacaville North by clicking HERE! You can join this fundraising team and get people to sponsor and donate in your name, or you can simply donate.  Any price is fine, but $80 will pay for one screening.

Support Barbells for Boobs by making a donation to our team. The process is fast, easy, and secure... and you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause!  Or simply show up and donate cash at the door and we will donate it ALL to the cause.

I will not be able to be there to participate, but not to worry, I have already donated!  And if I can make it to the gym that weekend, I will get the workout done!  But I got the most important part out of the way.
