Sunday 4.20.14

Upcoming Dates at The Compound:

*** Friday, April 25th, 5 PM: A Compound Weightlifting Competition!
(Regular class at 4 PM only that afternoon.  5 PM and 6PM are cancelled)

Our Weightlifting Club will be completing their current cycle, and setting their new weights for the next cycle.  This is a perfect jumping on point to see where you are starting off at if anyone wants to join the weightlifting club!  Or just come out and cheer on everyone.  You can workout and attempt to PR on your own, but it's definitely more fun and encouraging when people are helping you hit those PR's!
Free for CWC members, or $15 for non members, or buy a shirt for $25!

*** Monday, April 28th, 5 AM:  New Boot Camp Session begins!

This 4-week fitness program uses the principles of CrossFit without the aspect of heavy weight lifting, in a 45 minute boot camp style workout designed to build power and strength, increase stamina and cardiovascular endurance, and improve overall fitness. Session is $125, or $25 add-on for current unlimited members.

The Compound will be hosting a series of 3 kettlebell clinics taught by Doug Campbell and Kyle Gutierrez on May 3, 10, 17, 2014 from 10:30am-Noon.  Doug has been travelling and working with some of the best Kettlebell Masters in the world, and is bringing his knowledge back to us.  If you're tired of bruised forearms, then these clinics will be great for you!  If you want to build some muscle endurance, or work on a different aspect of strength than the typical 1-rep maxes, then these clinics are for you too!
Registration is $60 for all 3, or $25 per session.

*** Friday May 30th- Sunday, June 1st:  Nor Cal Regionals!

Come out and support Jenna and the other athletes competing for a place at The CrossFit Games!  Jenna is going to try to improve on her 23rd place finish from last year.  These competitions are tougher than the actual CrossFit Games from just 4 years ago.  So anyone that makes it to Regionals is an amazing athlete.  The event will be held at San Jose State University and tickets can be purchased HERE
