The Super Bowl is today!  You guys have been doing great in the Nutrition Challenge.  Only 4 weeks in and I have seen people losing weight, making strength gains when they hadn't for a while, improved on skills because they were lighter, feeling more positive about themselves, and understanding the relationship with good and bad foods.

Some haven't lost weight, but instead have lost inches on the waist (which would you rather do anyways?).  People are reporting more energy, or mentally sharp.  Some are just cooking different variations of food than they did before.

All of those are results of eating Paleo-esque foods (in your own style of course).  Those are things that you can't explain to people unless they going into at least a 30 day attempt to eat this way.

Some people want to lose more weight then they have.  That is simple, once you have Paleo eating down.....simply begin to cut calories.  Look back at your food logs and choose places that you can cut some calories.  But understand, with weight loss and calorie reductions, you may have some performance losses at the gym.  That is certainly ok, if that is your goal.

But with the Super Bowl today, it is ok to reward yourself with a cheat meal or two.  I know I will!  Give yourself a break, remind yourself why those foods are not our friends, take care of some cravings we've been having, and boost our metabolism again to continue losing weight through the next few weeks!

The CrossFit Games Registration is Live now.  It is easy to compete.  I already did all the hard work and took the Judges Course and created a team so we can all participate.  Now all you have to do is Sign Up with the instructions above at games.crossfit.com and join "CrossFit Vacaville North".

So what is the CrossFit Games?  For 5 weeks beginning March 6, every Wednesday till Sunday you can complete the workout under the observation of a qualified judge (any Compound Coach). Validated scores must be submitted online by 5pm Sunday.

The Open workouts will be programmed each week as a WOD for our entire gym to complete during regular class, and extra gym time with judges will be available for anyone who misses the day the workouts are scheduled. If you are out of town, workouts can also be completed and validated at any authorized CrossFit affiliate.  The points for the top women and men are added together for our team score.  So if you have a bad score, it hurts no one!

It only costs $20 to sign up and you can share in a fun experience with CrossFitters all over the world!  It is fun to see everyone around the world doing the same thing at roughly the same time.
